Hosta 'First Frost' (Scolnik/Solberg,'02) Medium  Ht=16" W=28"
This hosta really holds up to its name. Ovate leaves of good substance begin the season with blue centers and a gold margin then become dark green with a creamy-white (frosted) edge. Nice medium-sized hosta. I have one client who loves hosta and is only at his vacation home in September and October where we suggested a mass planting of H. 'First Frost' - he's delighted with the results. American Hosta Grower's Association 2010 Hosta of the Year! Pale lavender flowers. A sport of H. 'Halcyon'.
