Hostas Ship Free!Indulge your inner hosta-holic! If you live within the continental US, there is no shipping fee for hostas with the minimum purchase of $25.00. However, a minimum boxing and handling fee of $4.95 does apply. Hostas are carefully washed of soil and shipped bare-root in moist packing material. To minimize shock, bare-root hostas should be planted as soon as possible after receipt. If you're unable to plant your hostas immediately, they should be kept cool and moist. You can water the roots and repack them in their packing material or heel them in to moist compost or garden soil. Hostas should be watered well at planting time and every few days after planting for 10 days. During their first season, while they're getting established, hostas should also be watered during the hot, dry weather of mid and late summer. The hostas you purchase from Jewell's Prairie Nursery are top-grade plants and are guaranteed for one year after purchase, provided you have followed the instructions above.
