Hosta 'Garden Party' (Zillis/Solberg,'02) Large  Ht=30" W=60"
Who could possibly know more about hosta than Mr. Zillis at Q & Z Nursery who introduced this fabulous hosta? The large leaves of H. 'Garden Party' are gold-centered with a green edge. Some of its many virtues are its grand size and its splendid veining. Although the leaves are of good substance, this is unfortunately not a slug-resistant cultivar. We keep the little devils from ruining our 'garden party' with aluminum sulfate, which works extremely well, and doesn't harm little Nattie, or the kitty-cats. This is a large hosta that garners a lot of real estate, so be forewarned. Near-white flowers. Sport of H.'Golden sculpture'.
