Anemone sylvestris (Snowdrop Anemone) 12"  Z3-8 Sun-pt shade
The blooms of this Anemone are slightly smaller than A. hupehensis and of the purest white. They bloom much earlier (early June for us) and spread by rhizomes, making them the perfect groundcover for partial shade. I have mine on a difficult north slope. Even when they're not in bloom they have a tidy, weed-smothering foliage.
